fleet of over 325 vehicles..
At almost three times the size of its nearest competitor, Station Cars are one of South London’s largest minicab fleet. Due to the size of the fleet and use of innovative technology, Station Cars is the only company capable of offering clients average response times of just 10 minutes throughout the borough of Croydon. Station Cars minicab rates are on average up to 50% cheaper than black taxis. As a result, many local companies that traditionally use black taxi firms are now switching to Station Cars...consequently, we're taking people places, all day every day.
All of our drivers are fully trained in Road Passenger Vehicle Driving. Vehicles are air-conditioned and come with satellite navigation as standard. Station Cars have been established since 1985. As a car hire company, the past few years have seen us take more responsibility when taking people places. Station Cars drivers complete on average 850,000 journeys a year.
This has meant big investments in technology, higher standards of security, and most importantly, licensing for the minicab industry. Working closely with Transport for London we at Station Cars are keen supporters of new legislation for both the private hire operators and their drivers.
Having this legislation in place means all Station Cars drivers and their vehicles are individually licensed, and all drivers have had an enhanced CRB check, and are required to carry ID cards.
